ABOUT ME

My Story

I've been in and around technology my entire life.  As a child, I helped my dad build computers.  I dialed into BBS's and had no idea what I was doing.  I installed Windows from floppy disks.  I had conversations with Dr. Sbaitso who was packaged in with one of the first-ever Sound Blaster sound cards.  As a professional, I've done everything from bare metal to browser.  I started my career working on a helpdesk, building servers, and even building a raised-floor data center.  From there I gained a passion for programming: coding a computer to automate mundane or mistake-laden tasks.  I spent a good number of years focusing heavily on data: production, movement, and storage.  From there, I got into executive leadership and led some painful but very rewarding business transformations.  Today, I really enjoy my role as a pre-sales Solutions Architect because I get to blend my technology skills with my business acumen to help solve exciting and complex business problems.

I have many hobbies, many that come and go.  Two that have been a mainstay are bass guitar and video games.  For music, I have some mediocre music on Spotify you can check out on my MUSIC page.  For video games, I'm into console games, especially the classics.  Check out my IGN page to keep up with what I'm currently playing.
